Love is a Butterfly

Love is a butterfly, Gleaming, Shining bright, Spreading wings, And taking flight. She starts in a cocoon, Longing for more, Until she's ready to open up, venture, and explore. Colors, twirling, twisting A zig-zag multitude of colors, One wing meets it's perfect match, A twin flame is discovered. Together they work in perfect unison, Flapping their wings, and propelling through wind. Together they can see more Than what was every possible before. Nestled up in a cocoon, Is no way to see the world.
Views  She views each day with half-opened eyes, not clearly seeing, not fully understand,  not critically thinking. Only getting by each day to get through the next, and her best years float by with the worst in mind. Burnt out like the lightbulb that faded dimmer each day until it finally lost its spark, and then there's darkness. She cannot see, but  that's no excuse, for now, she has to trudge  through the dullness. They ask her, "Why are you walking into walls?" and that's when she realizes her blindness is in plain view.
