This semester of school brought a whole new series of challenges that I, among my classmates, had never faced before. I found being virtual especially difficult because I had to be self-directed, motivated, and disciplined, which were all skills I've struggled with before this year. It was a learning process, and although I'm still not perfect, I found ways to keep a consistent schedule and remain on top of my assignments. Even though I'm still struggling in some areas, a look back to the beginning of the first quarter reminds me just how far I've come in adjusting to online learning. When it comes to motivation, I'm hopeful that returning to in-person learning will help me thrive. Although it may not be what I want to do everyday, (partly due to the waking up early in the morning and driving in the cold,) I know that ultimately it will be better for my academics, and I'm almost certain I'll see an improvement in my grades.
